Job Title: WASH Officer

Location: Borno

Position Summary

• The WASH Officer will support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) activities in target communities.
• The role ensures the provision of safe water, improved sanitation, and hygiene promotion in line with project objectives and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement WASH activities including borehole rehabilitation, latrine construction, and hygiene promotion.
• Conduct community mobilization and hygiene awareness sessions.
• Supervise WASH infrastructure works and ensure quality control.
• Monitor the functionality of WASH facilities and ensure maintenance.
• Prepare weekly and monthly activity reports.
• Work closely with community leaders and local authorities to ensure sustainability.

Qualifications and  Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 – 3 years’ experience in WASH programming in humanitarian contexts.
• Technical knowledge of WASH infrastructure and community mobilization.
• Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
