Job Title: Waitress

Job Summary

• We are seeking a friendly, attentive and customer-focused Waitress to provide excellent food and beverage service to hotel guests.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for taking and serving orders accurately, maintaining clean and well-presented dining areas, responding to guest requests and ensuring a positive and professional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide courteous, professional service.
• Present menus, explain available meals and beverages, and take accurate orders.
• Serve food and drinks promptly and according to established service standards.
• Set, clear, and maintain tables before, during, and after service.
• Respond to guest requests, questions, and complaints professionally.
• Process payments and operate the POS system where required.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and rooftop/service team to ensure timely order delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene within the dining and service areas.
• Monitor guest needs throughout their visit and provide appropriate assistance.
• Follow hotel policies, food safety requirements, and service procedures.

Performance Expectations

• Provide prompt, courteous, and professional service to guests.
• Take orders accurately and ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain clean and properly arranged tables and service areas.
• Demonstrate good knowledge of menu items and available services.
• Handle guest requests and complaints professionally.
• Maintain compliance with hygiene, grooming, and service standards.
• Minimise order errors, delays, and avoidable customer complaints.
• Support other service staff during busy periods.

Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of SSCE / WAEC or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience as a Waitress, Server, or in a similar hospitality/customer service role is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service procedures.
• Experience using a POS system is an added advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be well-groomed, courteous, and customer-focused.
• Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and public holidays when required.

Salary
N70,000 – N150,000 / month.
