We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Van Sales Representative

Locations: Badagry & Alimosho, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports To: Sales Supervisor

Job Summary

  • The Van Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth through direct distribution, customer relationship management, and route optimisation.
  • This role involves selling products directly from a company vehicle, ensuring product availability, and achieving assigned sales targets within designated territories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute daily route plans to visit existing and potential customers (retail outlets, wholesalers, etc.).
  • Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets, volume, and revenue goals.
  • Conduct direct selling and merchandising of products from the van.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure repeat business.
  • Identify new business opportunities and onboard new customers within assigned routes.
  • Ensure proper stock management, including inventory tracking, replenishment, and reconciliation.
  • Collect payments (cash, POS, or credit where applicable) and ensure proper documentation.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing, and promotional activities.
  • Maintain the assigned vehicle in good condition and ensure adherence to safety and traffic regulations.
  • Prepare and submit daily sales, stock, and route performance reports.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Daily/weekly sales target achievement
  • Route coverage and call efficiency
  • Customer acquisition and retention rate
  • Stock accuracy and shrinkage levels
  • Collection efficiency and cash reconciliation

Requirements
Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of OND / HND / Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in van sales, field sales, or FMCG distribution.

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Familiarity with POS systems and mobile sales tools is an advantage
  • Ability to handle physical demands (loading/unloading products)
  • High level of integrity and accountability.
