Homeyfun Foods is a proud producer of Homies Ice Cream which currently comes in 3 different flavours. As a Brand, Homeyfun Foods is focused on extending their reach across Nigeria and even abroad. Job Title: Van Sales Representative

Location: Ipaja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The Van Sales Representative for Homeyfun Foods Ltd (HFL) would be responsible for using company vehicle to ensure retail customers (Stores) are servedand products are available across assigned routes at all times.

Principal Duties / Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the National Sales Manager
  • Develop new sales opportunities within designated Areas/territory.
  • Manage existing customers andenroll new stores (customers) to achieve daily, weekly, monthly, & annual volume / revenue targets.
  • Develop & maintain customer activity reportthat capture Store Name, Contact Person, Address and Phone Numbers of customers in assigned routes, Amount Supplied, Invoice No., Receivables and Cheques Received.
  • Develop & maintain a Lead Management list of prospective customers that capture Store Name, Contact Person, Address and Phone Numbers of customers in assigned routes, Amount to supply and personal remarks
  • Liaise with Sales Representative to generate sales and sell company products to current & potential retail stores/customers.
  • Cooperate with Sales Representative to deliver set targets on all sales KPIs- Calls, In-Market Sales (IMS), Collection, Strike Rate, Average Order Size/Call, etc.
  • Regularly review with the Customers; their performance in lines with agreed payment period as may be communicated by Management.
  • Assist in the sales development (information generation) and implementation of sales marketing plans of the assigned territory.
  • Report issues relating to satisfaction of customers, & consumers in assigned route

Requirements

  • Minimum of NCE / OND qualification in any Social Science / Management Science discipline with 2-5 years of experience as a van salesman, or similar.
  • Successful prior experience in FMCG van sales and distribution role, consistently meeting or exceeding targets required
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate fluently and present information simply
  • Licensed to drive nationally
  • Extensive experience in identifying new customers and negotiating deals.
  • Ability to assume responsibility for the delivery van and the products.
  • Experience in basic recordkeeping and managing sales contracts.
  • Working knowledge of basic van maintenance.
  • Promoting sales through regular visit and calls to customer
  • Tracking and monitoring competitors’ products and activity
  • Maintaining good relations with the customers.
  • Making daily sales and activity report.
  • Proven ability to follow instructions intelligently, consistently and with humility

Skills / Competencies:

  • Good Communication skill
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • High integrity and must be able to work under pressure
  • Must be resident in City of interest be able to speak the local language of the area
  • Computer literate
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Written and Verbal Communication Skills (Etiquette)

  • Sales / Marketing skills
  • Diversity Management.
