Job Title: UX / UI Healthcare Product Designer

Location: Lagos

Job Overview

• As a Product Designer with over 5 years of experience, you will play a pivotal role in sculpting the user experience of eMedicStore.
• You’ll be at the crossroads of healthcare and technology, working intimately with our teams to develop an intuitive and user-centric platform that caters to a diverse audience, from patients to healthcare providers.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Understand user personas, including patients, pharmacists, and doctors, to design tailored experiences.
• Collaborate with product managers to translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
• Pioneer innovative UI/UX solutions that address the unique challenges of the healthcare sector.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to iterate on design decisions.
• Work closely with developers to ensure design vision is realized in the final product.
• Maintain design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
• Stay updated with industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies.
• Facilitate design brainstorming sessions and collaborative workshops with stakeholders.
• Present and defend design decisions to teams and key stakeholders.
• Continuously gather feedback and iterate for better user experience.
• Ensure the platform’s responsiveness and optimized experience across devices.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure brand consistency.
• Advocate for users, championing the importance of design in product development.
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects, adhering to strict timelines.
• Seek opportunities for design improvements and conceptualize innovative solutions.
• Translate user feedback into design solutions.
• Develop and maintain a design system for scalability.
• Work cross-functionally to incorporate feedback and deliver revisions promptly.
• Mentor junior designers, promoting design thinking and best practices.
• Presenting user experience flow and project decisions to all levels of leadership; and negotiating product feature trade offs and impact to product development lifecycle with Engineering and Product Management.
• Producing high-quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes.
• Designing UI elements and tools such as navigation menus, search boxes, tabs, and widgets for our digital assets.
• Demonstrate tremendous visual and UX architectural design skills.
• Adhering to style standards on typography and graphic design.
• Developing and conceptualizing a comprehensive UI/UX design strategy for the brand.
• Creates the User Experience designs (user interface design comps, visual design specs, prototypes, and other visual assets) for medium-sized, diverse projects (i.e. new check-out system) by participating in overall project design definition activities.
• Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images.

Qualifications and Skills

• Candidates should possess a Diploma, OND, HND, Bachelor’s Degree
• 3+ years’ experience in product design, consumer focused tech or media companies, content heavy platforms preferred
• Expert skills in design and prototyping tools (Adobe Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator & Xd, Figma, Axure,Sketch, Powerpoint)
• Experience working on Mobile Application development.
• Strong portfolio showcasing problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Understanding of the entire product development process, from problem-solving to development.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team.
• Experience with user research, usability testing, and user-centered design practices.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
