We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Truck Workshop Manager

Location: Mainland, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Description 

  • We are seeking an experienced and skilled Truck Workshop Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair of our fleet of trucks. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the workshop team, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise the workshop team, including mechanics, technicians, and support staff.
  • Coordinate and prioritize maintenance and repair work to minimize downtime and ensure timely completion.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
  • Source and procure parts and materials as needed.
  • Monitor and control workshop expenses and budgets.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and adherence to safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a workshop management role, preferably in the trucking industry.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with fleet management software and systems.

Salary
Open for negotiation.
