Job Title: Truck Driver

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Description 

• The job incumbent provides transportation services, and where and when required, loading and unloading of dishes, equipment and other related items to ensure that items arrive at the right time in the right condition at the airline in accordance with Company standards and airline’s specifications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure goods and airline equipment from store are collected.
• Return soil arts to the dishwashing section.
• Load and unload goods and airline equipment to and from the company and aircraft according to the company’s requirements.
• Main the vehicles and their facilities, ensure they are in good working condition.
• Ensure the internal and external hygiene of the truck.
• Drive trucks to clients for service and checks as instructed.
• Report the damage or malfunction of the trucks to the department head.
• Keep all required records of dispatch and delivery.
• Monitor excesses or shortages and report to the department head.
• Build/strip commissary according to airline specs and schedules withing established times.
• Actively participate in the Safety Management System.
• Understand and comply with all food safety requirements.
• Complete inventories according to airline requirements
• Understand and comply with company Food Safety requirements.
• Actively participate in LSG Sky Chefs Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations. Understand, comply with, and promote the Company Safety Policy.
• Responsible for always maintaining the safety and security of the trucks.
• Assist in tray set up.
• Responsible for courteous, prompt, accurate, and careful handling of food and goods, including loading and offloading.
• Ensure that processes are delivered within airline standards and compliance limits while adhering to safety requirements.
• Performs all other duties as assigned/required.

Requirements

• Minimum of secondary education.
• Minimum of 7 years relevant work experience, preferably in a similar role.
• Must be fluent in English language.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Obtain a clear criminal record.
• Ability to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines.
• Attention to detail in all areas of work.
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
• Ability to work within the required time parameters.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules.
