Job Title: Tiler

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Part-time

Job Description

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Tiler to join our construction team. The Tiler will be responsible for laying tiles on floors, walls, and other surfaces in residential, commercial, or industrial buildings.
• The ideal candidate must be familiar with various tile materials (such as ceramic, porcelain, marble, and glass) and installation techniques, ensuring the work meets aesthetic and functional requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled, lay tiles accordingly, ensuring proper alignment and spacing.
• Ensure a high standard of workmanship, paying attention to detail to achieve a clean and professional finish.
• Assist project teams select appropriate tile materials and patterns based on the purpose of the space, budget, and design preferences.
• Perform tile repairs and maintenance, including replacing broken or cracked tiles and reapplying grout in areas where it has deteriorated.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and use personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• SSCE / OND, Vocational training or certification in tiling or masonry is an advantage.
• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Tiler

Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints or design plans.
• Excellent attention to detail and precision.
• Basic mathematical skills to calculate areas, estimate material quantities, and measure spaces.
