Job Title: Technical Sales Director

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Technical Sales Director, will build, maintain and manage a sales pipeline and forecast. This role is responsible for prospecting contacts, generating qualified opportunities, winning new business and managing relationships with key customers.
  • The Director will manage the opportunity stages to help drive projects and achieve business objectives.
  • Act as an expert consultant to guide customers in planning and development of technical solutions and document functional and technical requirements for proposals of products and services.
  • Excellent technical comprehension is essential to drive our continued success of generating new customers across an array of industrial applications.
  • This position will report to the MD/CEO and coordinate efforts with our Products, Services, and Marketing teams.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Expand Our Organization’s customer base by developing leads and establish long term business relationships through innovative sales strategies, presentations and plans.
  • Regularly contact existing and new customers for prospective business via phone and travel.
  • Manage and log customer documentation throughout the sales cycle and provide timely status metrics to team and leadership.
  • Maintain and communicate market and product knowledge. Stay abreast of market and competitive activity, competitive product developments and utilize this knowledge to drive pricing decisions and tactics.
  • Attend tradeshows and give presentations at technical conferences.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Interested candidates should possess a Degree in relevant fields with 5 – 10 years work experience.
  • Experienced B2B sales for custom-engineered solutions.
  • Accelerate product and procedural sales to achieve or exceed sales goals.
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on start-up environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to present information effectively.
  • Organized, superior attention to detail.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other relationship management software.
  • Familiarity with water treatment processes and technologies.
  • Self-motivated team player, comfortable in a start-up environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.
