Job Title: Technical Operator – Packaging

Location: Abia

Job Purpose

• The Technical Operator will be responsible for operating, maintaining, improving and repairing assigned production machinery.
• The incumbent(s) will work within an autonomous team of Technical Operators to drive excellent standards of production delivery Operational Health and Safety, and continuous improvement as well as minimize the impact the process on the environment.

Key Job Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor filling, capping, labelling, and/or other packaging machinery to ensure efficient production.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary repairs to minimize downtime and ensure machine availability.
• Conduct regular quality checks to ensure products meet company standards and specifications.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain accurate records of production data, maintenance activities, and any incidents.
• Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth production flow and address any operational challenges

Experience & Academic Requirements

• Minimum of OND or equivalent
• 1 – 3 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Proven experience as a Machine Operator

Key Competency Requirements:

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Must be able to read and follow a production schedule
• Must have either mechanical experience or an aptitude for mechanics
• Good communication skills.
