Genesis Cinemas is one of Nigeria’s leading cinema developers and operators of multiplex cinemas in Nigeria. GC is part of the Genesis Group, a Nigerian based conglomerate established in 1991 with its key focus on hospitality and entertainment with diverse interests in Restaurants, Hotels, Industrial Catering, Cinemas, Family Entertainment Centres and Facility Management.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Team Lead

Location: Benin, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time

Duties and Responsibilitie
Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities include the following and other duties as may be assigned.

  • The Team Lead is expected to assist the Business Managers and Assistant Business Manager in handling various tasks related to business management.
  • To support the company by providing quality customer service and communicating with head managers and department heads to achieve a common goal.
  • Responsible for preparing work schedules (Rota) for the team.
  • Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.
  • Liaise with clients, finding and creating business opportunities for the company.
  • To help the team understand performance targets and goals.
  • To identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
  • Secure cinema stock by ensuring cinema security systems, controls and measures is functioning and are being strictly followed.
  • To undertake administrative tasks, oversee the management of the day-to-day activities of the cinemas.
  • To proactively manage operational costs on a day-to-day basis.
  • To support the business manager in the effective management of controllable costs, third party contractors and team members.
  • To plan, perform and manage efficiently all operational tasks within the cinema.
  • To continually give feedback to the business manager and colleagues’ ways in which cinema operations can be improved and to always champion the needs of the guests and team members.
  • To maximize the performance of all employees by teamwork, motivation and effective coaching and performance management.
  • To propose and prepare in conjunction with the film booking department, performance schedule plan to meet business plan objectives.
  • Follow daily cash up procedures and security policy to protect assets and box office revenue – any cash difference must be resolved immediately.
  • To support the business manager in driving daily profitability by maximizing revenue per head (RPH) & minimizing shrinkage and wastage
  • Ensure the cinema meets set audience targets each week/period.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned to you by management from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Interested candidates should possess a relevant qualifications with 0-2 years experience.
