Job Title: Team Lead, Channels Delivery Risk

Job Profile

• The Team Lead, Channels Delivery Risk is responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating risks associated with the bank’s electronic and digital delivery channels, including ATMs, POS, internet banking, mobile banking, USSD, and agency banking.
• This role ensures that risks are proactively managed in alignment with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and best risk management practices..

Job Description
Risk Identification & Assessment:

• Monitor and evaluate operational risks across all e-channels and digital delivery platforms.
• Conduct regular risk assessments of new and existing channel products and services.
• Perform root cause analysis of incidents and near-misses.

Controls & Risk Mitigation:

• Design and implement effective controls for channels-related processes.
• Collaborate with IT, digital banking, operations, and product teams to ensure risks are mitigated at the design and execution phases.
• Ensure regular reconciliation and risk control self-assessments (RCSA) are conducted.

Monitoring & Reporting:

• Track key risk indicators (KRIs) for channel delivery operations.
• Maintain accurate and timely reporting on risk events and provide recommendations.
• Prepare risk dashboards and reports for executive and board-level review.

Compliance & Regulatory Alignment:

• Ensure adherence to CBN, NIBSS, and other regulatory risk guidelines.
• Participate in audits, examinations, and reviews, and oversee closure of audit/risk findings related to channels.

Leadership & Collaboration:

• Supervise the channel risk officers and provide coaching and guidance.
• Lead investigations into fraud or operational loss incidents within channels delivery.
• Engage stakeholders across the bank to promote a strong risk culture.

Job Requirements

• BSC in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CRMA, CRISC, CISA, CISM, or related) are an advantage.
• Minimum of 6–8 years of experience in operational risk, IT risk, or channel operations in a financial institution.
• In-depth knowledge of digital banking platforms, transaction processing systems, and payments infrastructure.
