Job Description

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that integrate the Nigerian and British curricula with the Montessori methodology.
• Create a stimulatinglearning environment that fosters intellectual, social, and emotional
• Utilize differentiated instruction to cater to the individual needs of each student.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that encourages active learning and student participation.
• Assess student progress through observations, assignments, and tests, and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
• Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on student progress and school activities.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and enhance teaching skills.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and projects that enrich the educational experience.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Nigerian Teachers Registration Council (TRCN) certification and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (preferred), Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching in a nursery or primary school setting (3+ years).
• A strong understanding of the Nigerian and British curricula.
• In-depth knowledge and experience applying the Montessori methodology.
• Ability to employ creative and innovative teaching methods that engage and inspire young learners.
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
• A deep passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to teaching, with the ability to respond to the diverse needs of students.
• Fluency in English language.
