Job Title: Surveyor

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Summary

• We are seeking dedicated and experienced Surveyors to provide precise measurements and mapping data to support infrastructure projects.
• This role requires a proactive professional capable of measuring and mapping land, structures, and other physical features for various construction, engineering and infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, buildings, etc.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform site surveys before construction to determine topography, land layout and conditions, and recommend adjustments to project plans where necessary.
• Provide precise measurements for building foundations, roads, bridges and infrastructure projects.
• Work closely with engineers and architects to ensure site plans are accurate as well as interpret engineering drawings and set out. positions forfoundations, roads, pipelines, utilities, etc.
• Use GPS, GIS (Geographic Information Systems), and Total Stations to collect spatial data.
• Interpret aerial photographs, satellite images, and LiDAR data.
• Operate and maintain surveying instruments as well as ensure surveying equipment/instruments are regularly calibrated for accuracy in measurements.
• Prepare detailed survey reports, legal descriptions, and technical drawings for construction and infrastructure project sites.
• Submit survey findings to the engineers and the companys projectteams
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, health, safety, and environmental HSE standards, land laws and land-use regulations.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc/B.Eng/B. Tech) and/or Master’s degree in Surveying and Geoinformatics, Geodetic Engineering, Land Surveying or related field with a minimum of 2 Class Honours (Upper Division) or Upper Credit as the case may be.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in land surveying, construction, or engineering projects.
• Registered Surveyor License from the Surveyors Council of Nigeria (SURCON).
• Geographic Information System (GIS) Certification or any relevant certification is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in surveying instruments and software.
• Able to work with little or no supervision.
• Wilingness to work outdoors in challenging terrains.
