Job Title: Surveyor Officer

Location: Lagos

Job Purpose (Job Summary)

• To support survey operations by assisting in data collection, instrument setup, and basic measurement activities on construction sites.
• The Junior Land Surveyor ensures accurate field data recording and assists the senior surveyor in maintaining proper documentation and site coordination.

Key Responsibilities / Duties

• Assist in field surveys to measure and record distances, angles, and elevations using GPS, Total Station, and leveling instruments.
• Collect and compile survey data and ensure proper documentation of field notes and sketches.
• Verify accuracy of field data through cross-checks and supervised recalculations.
• Assist in setting out points, levels, and alignments for structural and civil works.
• Prepare sketches, survey notes, and data logs for review by the Senior Land Surveyor.
• Operate and maintain survey instruments, ensuring calibration and safe handling.
• Assist in boundary demarcation and topographical mapping under supervision.
• Collaborate with site engineers and foremen to ensure construction accuracy.
• Download, store, and transfer survey data for processing and CAD integration.
• Support senior surveyors in analyzing maps, land records, and previous survey data.
• Perform tasks assigned by the Senior Land Surveyor or Project Manager to support ongoing site activities.
