We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: IT Support Officer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • To Provide 1st-level support and ensure quick issue resolution in alignment with defined OLAs. Ensure smooth running of end-user workstations and coordinate the installation, enhancement and operational support of local area networks (LAN) and PBX.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving and responding to calls.
  • Identifying and researching problems.
  • Providing assistance and instructions.
  • Contacting appropriate vendors for service as needed.
  • Monitor tickets on the service desk
  • Process tickets first-in first-out based on priority
  • Escalate tickets as necessary
  • Liaise with HR to ensure new staff are properly setup and configured in all applicable systems.
  • Liaise with Admin to ensure new staff are properly setup with the necessary work tools.
  • Liaise with SCM to ensure purchase requests raised on behalf of staff are closed promptly
  • Utilize and maintain the service desk system
  • Evaluate, recommend and deploy end user productivity tools.
  • Install and administer LAN including router, data switch, firewall and wireless access points.
  • Maintain, monitor and ensure proper operation of Asterisk-based PBX installations.
  • Enterprise endpoint security administration on desktops/laptops.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, Communications or related field.
  • 1-2 years directly related work experience in a technical helpdesk position supporting
  • Windows 7, 8 & 10, Microsoft Office tools or open source alternatives, and business applications in a business environment.
  • Experience providing superior customer service and support.
  • Experience working effectively in a team environment, communicating effectively, resolving issues efficiently, and contributing to the improvement of the infrastructure.
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP, SMTP, SNMP, VPNs, and security methodologies.
  • Thorough knowledge of voice and data communications techniques and technologies.
  • Domain knowledge of Asterisk-based PBX.

Salary
N205,000 monthly.
