Job Title: Supply Chain Officer (Entry Level)

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Assist in coordinating and monitoring the movement of goods from suppliers to customers.
  • Support logistics operations, including scheduling shipments and liaising with transport providers.
  • Track orders to ensure timely processing, delivery, and compliance with agreed timelines.
  • Ensure accurate recording and monitoring of payments to suppliers, vendors, and internal accounts.
  • Prepare periodic reports on order status, delivery timelines, and payment schedules.
  • Support process improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency
  • Assist in coordinating the movement of goods from suppliers to customers.
  • Support logistics operations, including shipment scheduling and liaising with transport providers.
  • Track orders to ensure timely processing, delivery, and fulfillment.
  • Monitor and ensure payments are sent to suppliers and vendors as per agreed timelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of orders, deliveries, and payment transactions.
  • Prepare reports on order status, delivery performance, and payment schedules.
  • Support process improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency

Awareness:

  • Understanding of the importance of timely order tracking and delivery.
  • Awareness of vendor relationships and service level expectations.
  • Recognition of the impact of delayed payments on supplier performance and business continuity.

Knowledge:

  • Understanding of invoice processing and payment timelines.
  • Familiarity with inventory and tracking systems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.

Mastery:

  • Capability to follow up proactively on pending deliveries and outstanding payments.
  • Consistent accuracy in documentation and record maintenance.
  • Demonstrated reliability in supporting logistics coordination.
  • Ability to escalate issues appropriately and recommend solutions.

Requirements

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree / HND.
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience.

Skill:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to track and monitor multiple orders simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail in reviewing invoices and payment schedules.
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Problem-solving skills to address logistics delays or discrepancies.
  • Basic data analysis and reporting skills.
