About the Position
- We are seeking a dynamic and accomplished individuals to join our faculty as a Professors/Associate Professors/Assistant Professors of Accounting in our esteemed Business School (JHBS).
- The successful candidates will be responsible for conducting innovative research, delivering high-quality teaching, and contributing to the academic and intellectual life of the institution.

- The Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in Accounting will provide leadership and foster excellence in teaching and research efforts of the School, within the University, and with the community, professional and commercial sectors.
- More specifically, the Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor is responsible for providing original, innovative and distinguished contributions to the Department’s programs and for maintaining and advancing their scholarly, research and/or professional capabilities relevant to the discipline at a national and international level.
- As the Professor in Accounting, you will develop, engage in and lead high quality research projects that are aligned with the Department and University’s research focus areas.
- This includes engagement with the relevant industry stakeholders, attracting competitive grants, publications in high impact journals and effective supervision of postgraduate research students and postdoctoral research staff.
- As a Professor in James Hope Business School, you may be appointed as Deputy Dean for a specific discipline or to provide strategic leadership for learning and teaching or research and scholarship.
The teaching areas of priorities include, but are not limited to:
- Managerial Accounting: specialization on accounting information for internal decision-making and management control, cost behaviour, budgeting, variance analysis, performance measurement, and strategic management accounting.

- A strong research portfolio with demonstrated scholarly contributions to the field of operations research, including publications in leading academic journals and presentations at reputable conferences.
- Expertise in quantitative analysis, mathematical modelling, optimization techniques, and relevant software tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python, R, CPLEX, Gurobi).
- Experience in applying operations research methodologies to real-world problems in business, industry, or public policy settings.

Director, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre
About the Position
- The Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at a James Hope Business School plays a key role in fostering an environment of innovation and entrepreneurship among students, faculty, and staff.
Responsibilities include:
- Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing strategies to promote innovation and entrepreneurship within the JHBS community. This could involve creating programs, initiatives, and partnerships to support entrepreneurial endeavours.
- Incubator and Accelerator Management: Overseeing university-based incubators or accelerators that provide resources, mentorship, and support to students, faculty, and alumni who are launching start-ups or pursuing innovative projects.
- Resource Allocation: Allocating funds and resources to support innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives, including grants, scholarships, and funding for research and development.
- Partnership Development: Cultivating partnerships with industry, government agencies, investors, and other stakeholders to facilitate collaboration, funding opportunities, and real-world application of innovative ideas and technologies.
- Education and Training: Developing and delivering educational programs, workshops, and training sessions to equip students, faculty, and staff with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in entrepreneurship and innovation.
