Finance Analyst

Job Description :

  • The Finance Analyst will act as a financial advisor to the Partner Market Managers and the Africa Partner Markets team on key business and financial decisions. Contributes ideas, energy, enthusiasm and support to the continuous improvement of finance processes. Cover all aspects of finance from controlling, reporting and decision support.

Key Accountabilities

  • Business partnering with internal and external stakeholders to support and drive adherence to plan and business performance through insight and analysis of risks and opportunities.
  • Ensuring that risks and opportunities are owned and managed to improve performance and drive growth.
  • Drive the development of Annual Operating plans (AOP) and Risk and Opportunity forecasts (R&O) on a regular basis with the support of the various structures in place.
  • Ensures financial processes are undertaken accurately, efficiently, on time and that the surrounding internal control procedures are strictly adhered to in line with CARM processes.
  • Decision support on pricing development, value chains, scenario modelling etc
  • Prepare for and support with insight into BPM deck and Strategic Business Review meetings with partners.
  • Carry out depletion analysis and other financial analytics for the market.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

Qualifications

  • University/College degree in Finance/Business
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant or CIMA is preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years working experience in a multinational environment, with:
  • Strong Financial Accounting/Reporting/Controlling experience.
  • Internal/external audit experience
  • Experience of Business Partnering with senior commercial stakeholders
  • Experience of working in a commercial finance/functional role will be an added advantage.

Key Skills

  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good working knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Experience of working with an ERP system (SAP FI/CO modules)

Head of Customer Marketing & Business Effectiveness

Job Description :

  • The Head of Customer Marketing and Business Effectiveness will facilitate the joined-up planning of customer-focused marketing initiatives in collaboration with partners. This role is focussed on ensuring commercial execution, business operations, capability and channel execution in line with plans.
  • This role is accountable for defining competitive route to consumer for our APM business, commercial transformation strategy, and ensuring world class commercial capability standards for Diageo and for our partners to deliver Every Day Great Execution. The role will also focus on robust target setting and reporting.
  • The role is responsible for delivering the NSV and market share growth through excellent outlet execution plans, efficiencies and capability strategies.

Key Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Commercial and Partners to develop annual and long-term customer marketing strategies and plans to deliver profitable growth.
  • Align on annual budget plans for customer marketing activities ensuring optimal allocation of resources against priorities.
  • Ensures and monitors the execution of brand plans, BTL activities, commercial, shopper and consumer plans in trade through periodic market visits and reporting.
  • Responsible for management of commercial metrics, reports, dashboards and insights.
  • Leverage data analytics and research to understand customer behaviour and preferences, competitive landscape, consumer trends to inform strategic decisions and opportunities for improving sales revenue and market share growth.
  • Work closely with the Commercial and Finance teams to align on revenue targets and promotional activities.
  • Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of commercial and customer marketing plans.
  • Ensure all customer marketing activities comply with regulations and company policies.
  • Ensure Route to Consumer optimisation and EDGE.
  • Provide leadership to the Commercial team to ensure full alignment and embedding of the defined sales process, standards and measurement.
  • Partner to develop and embed world-class Commercial Capability plans for internal teams and partners.

Qualifications, Experience and Leadership

  • Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
  • 7+ years’ experience in a variety of Commercial roles, e.g. Sales, Customer Marketing and Sales Operations.
  • Relevant Customer Marketing experience in consumer goods industry is essential.
  • Experience in leading Commercial Transformation programmes.
  • Strong analytical, numerical skills, ability to interpret complex data to drive actionable insights.
  • Strategic thinking, ability to shape the future and stakeholder management.
  • Excellent communication, presentation skills and able to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Results orientation, driven to achieve and exceed targets, and robust disciplined performance management.

 

Partner Market Director Anglo – West Africa

Job Description :

  • The role will be accountable for financial growth goals (NSV, Margin, OP, Cash and Market Share) organically as well as deliver against the A&P plan and overhead targets. Additionally, it will be accountable for growing existing partnerships, recruiting and developing new partners to take full advantage of growth opportunities in West Africa.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develops the annual business plan, and contingency plans to deliver plans in collaboration with third party partners.
  • Delivers short, medium and long-term sustainable growth, continuously monitors performance of partners.
  • Own relationship with the key partners, accountable for strengthening and evolving these partnerships to deliver business growth.
  • Develops partners and ensure all opportunities in the market are unlocked.
  • Accountable for planning and evaluation of all investments, including the governance and performance of partners and investment.
  • Ensures commercial execution standards are robust and that revenue growth management, measurement and evaluation are embedded in the organisation.
  • Collaborate with strategic partners for the design and delivery of a robust capability plan that enables value-creation for our partners and Diageo.
  • Supports partners on external relationships with key stakeholders including governments, regulatory bodies, media, customers, and competition, as well as manage regulatory requirements and risks.

  • 7+ years of experience in a variety of Commercial roles including experience in senior Commercial Leadership roles, within multinational consumer goods companies.
  • Experience in managing relationships with strategic partners and unlocking value through partnerships.
  • Deep commercial acumen, understanding of the value chain, business end-to-end and P&L management.
  • Deep understanding of customer, consumer, channels, and third-party commercial partner operations.

Head of Marketing Africa Partner Markets

Job Description :

  • The purpose of this role is to lead our strategy and delivery with strategic partners across SWC, for example, Tolaram in Nigeria, the Castel Group in Cameroon. The role will also drive delivery of share and value growth for Diageo South, West and Central Africa through the leadership of Guinness and the overall Portfolio.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain strong and professional relationships with supply and commercial partners to lead the charge for LAD market share in Africa, co-ordinate JUBP development and ensure marketing strategies and key performance indicators are well captured.

Business Effectiveness Manager

Job Description :

  • As Business Effectiveness Manager, you will be responsible for driving great insights through commercial execution reporting to ensure quicker decisions are made, drive business goals and targets and instil accountability at all levels. You will support with capability planning and build for teams and 3rd party, any route to market optimisation and commercial transformation programmes.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing regular reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
  • Conducting market research to understand market dynamics, identify trend and growth opportunities.
  • Analysing sales data, market trends, and consumer behaviour to provide actionable insights.
  • Supporting strategic planning processes and commercial decisions by providing data-driven insights.
  • Measuring the effectiveness of trade spend, BTL activities through ROI analysis and provide recommendations for optimizing spend based on performance metrics.
  • Ensuring data integrity and accuracy across all reporting systems.
  • Collaborating with Head of Customer Marketing and Business Effectiveness to develop relevant training materials (assist in facilitating training where required)
  • Partnering on 3rd Party capability audit where necessary and provide insights on opportunity areas.
  • Supporting with process optimisation, commercial transformation projects as required.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or any related field.
  • Experience of working in sales and/or customer marketing.
  • Experience in Sales Operations, Commercial capability and Route to Market transformation is desirable.
  • Proven commercial acumen with strong analytical skills, able to translate data into actionable insights.
  • High sense of initiative, drive and ownership, ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel; experience in visualisation tools like PowerBI is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to present complex data to stakeholders.
  • Basic industry, category and competitor knowledge
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility, entrepreneurial spirit, and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
