Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Leadership:

Business Development Manager

Job Summary

  • The Business Development Manager is required to meet sales targets and ensure client satisfaction by being on the field, regularly attending and conducting meetings with customers.
  • He is required to be presentable, with good communication and interpersonal skills to be able to build good relations with customers and understand the customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures continuous analysis and design of strategic positioning of the business overall, and advises on long-term development of the product, service, or solutions portfolio.
  • Ensures development of business plans and effective controlling of the target-setting processes, BTAs, and quarterly reviews.
  • Steers and coordinates preparation and implementation of strategic planning, investment strategies, regional and national market research (incl. execution of strategic benchmarking), etc.
  • Initiates strategic external growth initiatives and steers or coordinates respective alliances/ partnerships in defined businesses, markets or regions.

Requirements

Internal Control Executive

Job Summary

  • The Internal Control Officer is saddled with the responsibility of reviewing all internal processes, systems, and policies and also making recommendations to management to ensure observed risk to the business is minimized with a view to delivering improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • To plan, organize, and carry out the internal controls function including the preparation of risk-based annual audit plan and business standard operating procedures/policies.
  • Evaluate compliance with existing policies and procedures, identifying and proposing modifications as needed.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of the effectiveness of the internal control system to ensure the integrity of the system, improve it, and propose value-added recommendations.
  • Collaborate with business and process owners to implement and monitor remedial actions that result from internal control audits, and drive the effective implementation of corrective actions.
  • Deliver adequate and timely action plans and monitor progress to address and resolve identified control deficiencies.
  • Develop, execute, and monitor adequate Internal Control Over Financial Reporting (ICFR) in line with best accounting practices and identifying appropriate risk and mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct a continuous review of all reconciliations, payments, and other regular activities and helps in maintaining the proper documentation for further compliance reviews.
  • Conduct the highest quality review of internal controls and supporting the risk management process and provide management with the relevant Internal Control methodological support.
  • Conducting routine Audits to identify areas of non-compliance in line with the IMS standards.
  • Monitor and ensure all system user accounts/privileges are approved with proper system access parameters in line with their respective level of information access for their job functions.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure that controls are fully embedded in the design of processes and systems.
  • Responsible for any other task assigned by the Head, Internal Control.

KPIs

  • Achieve 100% compliance on processes certification by ISO.
  • Achieve 100% review of process compliance across the group.
  • Achieve 80% review of information security compliance.
  • Achieve 100% review of asset inventory
  • Achieve 100% review of Backup Restoration and Testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other business-related fields.
  • 3-5 Years of relevant experience.
  • ICAN / ACCA is required.
  • Strong understanding of internal control frameworks, risk management principles, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify issues, evaluate risks, and develop practical solutions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and communicate complex concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Senior Legal Counsel

Job Summary

  • The Senior Legal Counsel leads the Company’s legal and compliance functions, providing strategic legal advice, managing contracts, overseeing corporate governance and board matters, ensuring regulatory and data protection compliance, protecting intellectual property, and minimizing legal and business risks.

Responsibilities

  • Providing legal advice and legal support to the company’s Board of Directors, Management, and Business Units on legal matters, as well as implementing legal strategies to mitigate risk.
  • Drafting and vetting all contracts, documents, and correspondence to mitigate the risk exposure of the Company, such as Service Level Agreements, Software Licensing Agreements, Reseller Agreements, Memorandum of Understanding, Confidentiality Agreements, Joint Venture Agreements, Partnership Agreements, letters, company policies, etc.
  • Overseeing the company secretarial function of the company by preparing board papers, organizing and attending Board/Committee Meetings and Annual General Meetings of the company as well as preparing Minutes of Meeting for the Group.
  • Liaising with external counsel on matters/legal issues affecting the Group when necessary.
  • Regulatory Compliance – Ensure timely remittance of filings/returns to Regulators as well as liaising with regulators and government parastatals on regulatory issues about the Group. Preparing and updating a Compliance Dashboard.
  • Working with internal customers and business units (such as Finance and IT Support) to ensure they are compliant with regulatory guidelines and applicable laws.
  • Preparing Quarterly legal and compliance reports to the Board and reports incidental to the Legal Unit.
  • Managing the Data Protection Portfolio of the Group office and overseeing Data Protection for the Regions.
  • Protection of intellectual property rights of the Company by registering intellectual property rights and source codes.

KPIs

  • Zero Penalties for Regulatory Compliance.
  • Hold at least 4 Board Meetings and 1 AGM in a year, i.e., 1 Board Meeting each quarter, and ensure that Board Papers are circulated 7 days before the Board Meeting.
  • Ensure intellectual property registration of all the organization’s Intellectual Property Rights.
  • Contract Review for New Strategic Partnerships, Platforms/Support Services.

Objective:

  • To achieve 100% compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • To hold Quarterly Board Meetings annually and an Annual General Meeting.
  • To ensure 100% review and execution of all contracts.
  • To achieve 100% registration of all the organization’s IPS.
  • Ensure there is zero litigation/court cases.
