Quantity Surveyor (Entry Level)
Job Role / Objectives
- Construction Company seeks to recruit an Entry Level Quantity Surveyor who would assist in supervising, managing and planning all costs associated with all types of construction projects, from outset until completion.
- Assist in maximizing project margin and add value to the construction process by proactive involvement in procurement, cost management and reporting and preparation of bill of quantities.
Position Overview / Responsibilities
- Minimize the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality.
- Perform risk and value management, as well as, cost control.
- Identify, analyze and develop responses to commercial risks.
- Value completed work and arranging payments.
- Certify works completed by the contractor; assess changes and document variation orders, and carry out monthly valuations of work in progress, including forecasting of final costs and sales final accounts.
- Undertake costs analysis for repair and maintenance project work.
- Measure, value, submit and negotiate contract variations.
- Assist in preparation and adherence to project purchasing targeting and costing budgets.
- Assist in monitoring site resources usage against budget.
- Support the Tender Preparation Team in the preparation of Bill of Quantities, costing for tenders, schedule of works, specifications and all contract documentation.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying.
- Minimum of 3 years’ post NYSC in-depth experience of Quantity Surveying work, associated procedures and practices.
- Be a Registered Quantity Surveyor with NIQS/QSRBN.
- A professional approach which generates credibility and confidence in others.
- The ability to work in partnership/lead a team and across boundaries to achieve results.
- Ability to cope with pressure and work to tight deadlines.
- A personal commitment to continuous self-development.
Land Surveyor (Entry Level)

- Construction Company seeks to recruit a Land Surveyor (Entry Level) to assist in managing and coordinating surveys and investigations of land surfaces and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Position Overview / Responsibilities
- Assist in managing and coordinates surveys and investigations of land surfaces.
- Ensure accurate measurements of the ground as required, including aspects such as small and large-scale distances, angles and elevations.
- Gather data on the earth’s physical and man-made features through surveys
- Assist in supervising and use digital mapping and processing data.
- Make use of geographical information systems (GIS) to analyze and interpret site features.
- Use computer-aided design (CAD) and other IT software to interpret data and present information.
- Handle the preparation of survey maps, plans, and exhibits.
- Provide surveying expertise to special surveying problems.
- Meet with Civil and design engineers to determine pertinent information required for project plans
- Verify the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites
Qualifications and Requirements
- A First Degree from a recognized University in Land Surveying.
- 3 years’ post NYSC experience in conducting land surveys/in the field.
- Ability to perform horizontal and vertical survey calculations.
- Ability to work with design engineers, clients, contractors.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the particular field
- Ability to rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Can Lead and direct the team for better productivity.

Civil Engineer (Entry Level)
Job Role / Objectives
- Construction Company seeks to recruit a Civil Engineer (Entry Level) that would assist in overseeing the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and infrastructural built environment, including works like roads, bridges, canals, dams, structures and buildings, power plants, water and sewage systems etc.
Responsibilities
- Assist in providing comprehensive day-to-day field supervision at the site. Ensure all construction is being performed to quality standards in compliance with design specifications, drawings, budget and schedule.
- Assist in conducting technical, feasibility studies and site investigations to establish effective and efficient project executions.
- Identify and resolve project design and development problems
- Recommend measures to enhance improvement or efficiency opportunities that may arise.
- Assist in Coordinating field work including contract work, to ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, specifications and codes.
- Identify and implement construction-specific opportunities for improvement.
- Test building materials for quality and provide costs estimates and labour required for each project.
- Assess the environmental impact and risks connected to projects.
- Up-to-date knowledge of local, state and federal government/agencies rules, standards and procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A First Degree or Master’s from a recognized University in Civil Engineering
- Being a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and COREN is desirable.
- Professional membership with any internationally recognized engineering body (E.g PMP, PRINCE2) is desirable
- Minimum of 3 years’ post NYSC experience in construction and project execution.
- Ability to work with design engineers, clients and contractors.
- Ability to work with CAD Packages.
- Excellent time management skills in order to handle competing deadlines.
- A high level of autonomy and self-efficiency with attention to detail.
- Intermediate use of general computer programs such as packages in the Microsoft Office Suite.
