Firstly as distributors of dried and smoked fish, and in 2006 the company expanded into selling catering supplies before opening the Cash & Carry in 2007. We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Storekeeper / Inventory Officer

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Job type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • Organised and detail-oriented storekeeper to manage all the operations in the storeroom.
  • In this position, you’ll play a key role in the proper care and maintenance of our stock, including ordering, receiving, and managing inventory.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of proper books of accounting records to timely reflects the transactions.
  • Diligent arrangement of the store.
  • Ensuring cleanliness of the store.
  • Invitation of purchase requisitions from the needy department.
  • Collection of store items from the supplier to ensure that the items supplied agree
  • with the specification, and the agreed price stated on the Local Purchase Order (LPO).
  • Perform other stock-related duties, including returning, packing, pricing, and labelling supplies.
  • Inspect deliveries for damages or discrepancies; report those to account for reimbursements and record keeping.
  • Rotate stock and coordinate the disposal of surpluses.
  • Ensure adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintain inventory control.
  • Updating of bin or tally cards.
  • Issuing of items out of the store, on the strength of properly authenticated store requisition.
  • Preparation of monthly store count report, showing different items under appropriate heads.
  • Ensuring that there is adequate security over the custody of the store materials.
  • And any other assignments as may be given by the management.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of a Higher National Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • 1+ year of experience in storekeeping, inventory control, or recordkeeping.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of proper inventory management.
  • Familiarity with standard concepts and the best practices in a stockroom or warehouse environment.
  • Analytical mind with the ability to make accurate mathematical computations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competencies in data entry, analysis, and management.
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to effectively manage time.
  • Skills to operate common office equipment.

Salary Range

  • N50,000 – N60,000 monthly.
