Established in 2009, Efezi Southsea Nigeria Limited is a hospitality consultancy firm specializing in providing expert services to small and medium-sized hotels.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Storekeeper

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Responsibilties

  • Receive all goods and materials delivered to the hotel.
  • Verify the quantity, quality, and specifications of items against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Inspect goods for damage, defects, or shortages before acceptance.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for all stock items.
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder points.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts.
  • Reconcile physical stock with inventory records and investigate discrepancies.
  • Issue supplies only upon receipt of properly approved store requisition forms.
  • Ensure the correct quantities are issued to requesting departments.
  • Record all stock issues accurately and promptly.
  • Store items neatly, safely, and according to category.
  • Arrange stock to allow easy identification and retrieval.
  • Apply the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method to reduce spoilage and wastage.
  • Ensure proper storage conditions for perishable and non-perishable items.
  • Monitor slow-moving, obsolete, and fast-moving items.
  • Prevent overstocking and stock shortages.
  • Minimize losses resulting from theft, damage, or expiry.
  • Report unusual stock variances to management.
  • Maintain bin cards, stock cards, inventory registers, and computerized inventory records.
  • File delivery notes, invoices, requisitions, and Goods Received Notes (GRNs).
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date documentation for audit purposes.
  • Work closely with Purchasing, Accounts, Kitchen, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and other departments.
  • Communicate stock availability and shortages promptly.
  • Assist in planning procurement based on consumption patterns.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure store environment.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of chemicals, food items, and fragile goods.
  • Restrict unauthorized access to the store.
  • Follow all health, safety, and fire prevention procedures.
  • Support internal and external stock audits.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies and inventory control procedures.
  • Cooperate with auditors during stock verification exercises.
  • Implement recommendations from audit reports.
  • Recommend improvements to inventory management systems.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  • Participate in training and professional development.
  • Stay updated on inventory management best practices.

Requirements

  • Interested candidates should possess relevant qualifications with 5 years experience.
