We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Stock Officer

Location: Ogidi, Anambra
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Stock Officer is responsible for monitoring stock levels, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring proper storage and distribution of goods within the organization.
  • The role ensures that stock movement is properly documented and that shortages or discrepancies are reported promptly.

Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management:

  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock.
  • Ensure goods are stored properly and safely in the warehouse.
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages or excess stock.

Stock Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Update stock cards, inventory systems, or software regularly.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, or monthly stock reconciliation.

Stock Issuance:

  • Issue materials or products based on approved requests.
  • Ensure proper documentation for all stock movement.

Stock Audits:

  • Participate in periodic stock counts and audits.
  • Investigate and report discrepancies between physical stock and records.

Warehouse Organization:

  • Ensure proper arrangement and labeling of items in the store.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the store/warehouse.

Reporting:

  • Prepare stock reports for management.
  • Notify management about damaged, expired, or obsolete items.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess an OND/HND/Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field with 1-2 years experience.
  • Previous experience in inventory or store management is an advantage.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good record-keeping and organizational skills
  • Basic computer and inventory software knowledge
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work with numbers and reports.
