Society for Family Health (SFH) is one of the leading non-governmental public health organisations in Nigeria, implementing programmes in Reproductive Health/Family Planning, HIV & AIDS prevention and treatment, malaria prevention and treatment, primary health care system strengthening and maternal, newborn and child health care. We work in partnership with the Federal and State Governments of Nigeria, the Global Fund, United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Department for International Development (DFID), Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, MSD for Mothers and Children Investment Fund Foundation among other international donors.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: State Monitoring & Evaluation (M & E) Advisor

Locations: Taraba, Borno, and Yobe
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Profile

  • The M&E Advisor shall ensure that the project has an appropriate Activity Monitoring and Evaluation Plan (AMELP).

The successful candidate will perform the following functions:

  • S/he will ensure that the AMELP is executed, and its objectives achieved by ensuring that detailed activities are developed and implemented.
  • S/he will be responsible for the quality of data generated (timeliness, validity, completeness) and will develop and implement these to continually improve the quality of data generated.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Must possess a First Degree in a relevant field. A Master’s Degree in public health, Health Research, Development Studies or related fields and certificates in relevant M&E courses will be of an added advantage
  • Must possess a minimum of Five (5) years post NYSC work experience, preferably in M&E and research
  • Must have previous experience in the use of the LAMIS, DHIS and other National M&E tools.
  • Must show demonstrable willingness and ability to adjust quickly to rapidly changing priorities, multiple demands, and complex situations.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, training and report writing skills are very important to this position.
  • Must be computer literate, able to manipulate spreadsheets and be familiar with the NGO working environment.
  • Excellent Excel Skills
  • Good report writing skills
  • Proficient on quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Problem solving and analytical ability.

Skills and Competencies required:

  • Good report-writing skills
  • Good knowledge of Statistical analysis packages
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power BI
  • Good Interpersonal skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • High Level of Integrity
