We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Staff Accountant

Location: Enugu
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
Month-End and Year-End Closing:

• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Compliance and Auditing:

• Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Assist in regulatory compliance and reporting, including tax filings and audits.

Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist in implementing changes to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and provide support as needed.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Address branch inquiries related to financial and stock management, Provide statements, receipts, and other financial information as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel). Other computer based knowledge is an added benefit.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical financial practices.

Salary
N68,000 – N75,000 / month Competitive.
