Job Title: Staff Accountant – Automotive / Manufacturing

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Summary

• We are seeking a qualified and experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team. Automotive or Logistics experience is highly desirable.

Requirements

• ICAN qualified – ACA is required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant post-ICAN qualification experience.
• Automotive industry experience is mandatory.
• Automotive or Logistics experience is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in fleet accounting, including vehicle acquisition costs, maintenance costs, fuel expenses, depreciation, repairs, and fleet-related operating expenses.
• Practical experience in manufacturing accounting, including production costs, raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), finished goods, inventory valuation, and cost of production.
• Strong experience in inventory and stock accounting, including reconciliation and variance analysis.
• Experience in fixed asset accounting, particularly vehicle and plant/equipment assets.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, general ledger, and month-end closing.
• Experience preparing management accounts, financial reports, budgets, and financial analysis.
• Ability to perform cost analysis, variance analysis, reconciliations, and financial controls.
• Experience with accounting software/ERP systems; Zoho Books experience is an advantage.
• Strong Excel skills, including the ability to work with financial data and reports.
• Good understanding of IFRS and Nigerian tax/accounting requirements.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict reporting deadlines.
• Must reside in Lagos.
• Must be available to resume immediately.
