Spring of Hope For the Girl Child Development Initiative (SHoGDI), commonly known as Spring of Hope Nigeria, is a human rights non-governmental organisation (NGO) based in Makurdi, Benue State, Nigeria. The organisation operates at the intersection of humanitarian response and community development, focusing primarily on empowering girls, young women, and other marginalized demographics.

Job Description

• We are seeking an IT Specialist to manage our website and provide day-to-day technology support to our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Update and maintain the organisation’s website, including project information, news and resources.
• Manage website security, backups, hosting and technical issues.
• Support staff with computers, email, internet connectivity and workplace software.
• Help maintain IT equipment, user accounts and digital tools used across projects.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience managing websites, preferably using WordPress or a similar platform.
• Practical experience troubleshooting computers, software and internet connectivity.
• Knowledge of website security, backups and hosting.
• Good communication skills and the ability to support colleagues with varying levels of technical experience.
• A qualification in IT, Computer Science or a related field is an advantage.
