Job Title: Solvent Extraction Plant Operator

Job Description

• We are looking for a skilled Solvent Extraction Plant Operator to join our production team.
• In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment used in the extraction of oils or other compounds from various materials using solvents.
• Your primary goal will be to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the solvent extraction process according to company procedures and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor equipment such as extractors, distillation units, pumps, and filtration systems.
• Control and adjust machine settings to optimize extraction processes and achieve desired yields.
• Load raw materials into processing equipment and ensure proper feed rates.
• Monitor and regulate temperature, pressure, flow rates, and other process variables.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify and resolve issues promptly.
• Perform quality control checks on extracted products to ensure they meet specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of operations, including production data, process parameters, and equipment maintenance.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform minor repairs as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors and support staff.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a plant operator or similar role, preferably in a solvent extraction or chemical processing environment.
• Knowledge of solvent extraction processes, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in a standing position for extended periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training is a plus.
