Job Title: Solutions Specialist – Smart Building & Energy Intelligence

About the job

• We are seeking a versatile Solutions Specialist to lead business development, technical sales, and solution design for our smart building automation, energy intelligence, and advanced access control systems across Nigeria.
• This role is both commercial and technical, responsible for finding opportunities, engaging clients, designing tailored solutions, and coordinating project execution with our in-house teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in the commercial, industrial, hospitality, and real estate sectors.
• Engage with clients to assess their automation, energy efficiency, and access control needs.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and proposals to decision-makers.
• Lead the full sales process — from prospecting and proposal development to contract signing.
• Work with engineering teams to prepare system designs, schematics, and BOQs.
• Provide technical input for tenders, bids, and RFP responses.
• Coordinate with Metikon’s in-house installation teams to ensure correct implementation, system configuration, and commissioning.
• Stay updated on IoT, building automation, and energy management technologies to enhance solution offerings.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Additional certifications in IoT, automation systems, or energy management are an advantage.

Experience & Skills:

• 5+ years’ experience in technical sales, solution design, or implementation of building automation, energy management, or access control systems.
• Proven ability to manage the full sales cycle independently.
• Strong presentation and communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Commercial awareness and ability to develop new markets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CAD or system design tools is a plus.
• Willingness to travel within Nigeria for client meetings and site visits.
