On 8th April 2016, Paras Energy became the 27th Company to supply power to National Grid in Nigeria and the first privately owned company to supply power under a bilateral agreement to their customers.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Solar Safety Engineer

Locations: Sabon Wuse – Niger, Kano, Lagos & Agbara and Ogere – Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement safety procedures and guidelines for all operation and maintenance activities as per industry standards.
  • Identifying and evaluating potential hazards associated with solar energy systems, including electrical hazards, height hazards, and environmental risks.
  • Providing safety training and guiding the team regarding safe work practices and use of PPE’s at the workplace.
  • Conducting regular safety audits at the site to check on the adherence of safety protocols.
  • Daily, weekly or monthly reporting to the management regarding safety protocols, near miss incidents or any hazard
  • Root cause analysis of any safety related incident and implementation of the corrective action.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • HND / Bachelor’s Degree in occupational health and safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager or similar role.
  • Professional certification in health and safety (e.g., CSP, CIH) is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ideal Candidates will be resident in the location chosen or willing to relocate at their own expense.
  • Ready to Travel within and outside the country at any time.
