We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Software Engineer – PHP

Location: Lagos

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years’ professional experience as a PHP Software Engineer.
• Experience developing enterprise applications.
• Experience within the power/energy sector is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Java is an added advantage.

Required Skills & Technical Competencies:

• Strong proficiency in PHP 7+ and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Hands-on experience with Yii1, Yii2, and Laravel.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL and database design.
• Experience working in Linux environments.
• Experience with MVC frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
• Solid understanding of SQL optimization and database performance.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (experience with Vue.js, React, or Angular is an advantage).
• Experience using Git-based version control systems (GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket).
• Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs (SOAP knowledge is an added advantage).
• Understanding of secure coding practices and application performance optimization.
• Experience building workflow management applications and enterprise software platforms.
• Familiarity with SaaS application deployment.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud is an advantage.
