Job Title: Shutdown Quality Coordinator M / F

Location: Lagos
Standard Contract: Fixed-term-contract
Contract Hours: Full time
Contract Duration: 1 Year

Job Description

  • The Shutdown Quality Coordinator ensures that turnaround work meets all safety and quality standards.
  • You will work with the Shutdown team and contractors to develop job-specific quality management plans, metrics and tracking information.
  • You will create QC packages and work to audit, train, and certify contractors on Shutdown quality standards for executing all upcoming Turnarounds & Shutdowns.
  • You will collaborate with the Shutdown schedulers, maintenance, and contractors to ensure a strong work quality program for the Shutdown events.
  • This role will report to the Turnaround Manager and will include numerous interfacing and liaison with company’s Quality department, HSSE department, Contractors, Suppliers and Vendors:
    • Management (QA/QC).
    • QA/QC Management Plans, Procedures and Practices.
    • Safety, Quality, Shutdown Coordination, Projects Coordination, Small Capital Projects

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Experienced in leading Ensure quality and safety is an integral part of the department
  • Drive and include Company & Shutdown QA/QC policies in all areas of PSCM.
  • Outline contractor responsibilities for Shutdowns and develop tracking metrics.
  • Linking appropriate Quality ties and scheduled turnover activities within P6 execution schedule.
  • Work with the scheduler to get the Quality Package turnover report by day for TAR.
  • Develop/Maintain “Quality Check Sheet” for Shutdown. (eg. correct bolting, Weld Rod, line specs, etc.)
  • Verify with Teams for piping spool fabrication documents and ensure all proper NDE is completed and documented.
  • Ensure Inspection Test Plans are specific, usable for package turnover, and accepted by inspection.
  • Drive to completion of the required Start-up list from Operations.
  • Define acceptable punch-list activities.
  • Deliver Quality Training Presentations for Contractors and Supervision for Shutdown.
  • Attend all required Quality meetings for assigned Shutdown. Chair daily QC meeting during execution.
  • Update individual QC Plans for each Shutdown and set an Expectation meeting to review with the team.
  • Work with Operations to define system turnover for completion (Wet/Dry) Set priority.
  • Review Contractor Quality package before submittal to QA during execution
  • Work with Shutdown team for Quality guidelines and Quality surveillance/audit
  • Ensure reports are available from Quality and Inspection contractor
  • Review Contractor Staffing Plan and Identify timing for QC ramp-up
  • Verify all Quality Procedures, ITPs, Pre-Shutdown Works, and Testing are completed and approved before Shutdown
  • Ensure that required quality records and documents are properly prepared and maintained.

Profile

  • High School Diploma and quality training are required. A BS / Engineering Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience working in Quality, Maintenance, Shutdown in the Energy, Oil & Gas Industry or Engineering in manufacturing.
  • Willingness to travel offshore as required (BOSIET & offshore survival).
  • Familiarity with ASME VIII, B31.3, National Boiler Inspection Code (NBIC), API 510/570/579/653
  • Strong HSE leadership and regulatory compliance skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Manages multiple tasks and priorities, Delegates work appropriately
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills,
  • Implements new concepts effectively
  • Ability and willingness to improve work processes.
