Job Title: Short-Term Staff (STS) – Driver

The Position

• The specific mission of the driver is to provide transport and service to senior officials or Bank staff. The driver is also required to transport parcels, important documents, etc.
• The driver is fully responsible for the vehicle and must be comfortable with driving and road navigation. Discretion, high availability and courtesy are also part of the profile.

Key Functions
Under the supervision of the Special Representative for General Services, the Driver will assume the following responsibilities:

• Drive official vehicles for transporting staff and visitors on official trips.
• Attend to daily vehicle maintenance and make arrangements for repairs in case of breakdown.
• Run errands for the office and keep the vehicle log up to date whilst ensuring the validity of documents.
• Ensure that all formalities required by regulations are completed in case of accident.
• Drive the vehicle entrusted to him/her and manage fuel.
• Vehicle mileage must be recorded for all journeys.
• Daily vehicle maintenance is ensured, as well as checking oil, water and vehicle components, which must be functional at all times.
• Monitor and update insurance documents and other vehicle documents.
• Perform any other task that may be assigned within the scope of duties.

Competencies (skills, experience and knowledge)

• Hold at least a secondary school diploma (Baccalaureate).
• Valid driving permit.
• Possess a minimum of three (3) years of relevant driving experience in a multilateral organisation or commercial company.
• Provide proof of nationality or proof of permanent resident status with work permit in the proposed country of employment.
• Good customer orientation
• Excellent knowledge of the highway code
• Good knowledge of vehicle mechanics.
• Compliance with periodic maintenance
• Knowledge of the rules of courtesy and conduct required of drivers
• Excellent knowledge of driving safety rules
• Communication: A good command of the French language is required; knowledge of English is an advantage.
