We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Shift Miller

Location: Apapa, Lagos
Job type: Full-time

Purpose

  • To ensure the timely and efficient production of flour within the mill facilities while optimizing processing efficiencies and adhering to customer specifications.

The Job

  • Monitor the entire milling process, from receipt of raw materials and perform basic equipment maintenance/troubleshooting tasks for all equipment related to the operation of the mill.
  • Assist the Chief Miller to maximize milling efficiencies in the plant daily by focusing on adjustment and operation of cleaning house and mill equipment.
  • Enforce Health & Safety regulations.
  • Implement on-the-job training for milling staff to enhance milling skills.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, production, shift reports as well as mill and maintenance issues.
  • Ensure good hygiene and house-keeping practices within the production environment.
  • Minimize unplanned production downtime.

Qualifications

  • First Degree in Engineering or Science / Intermediate & Final NABIM.
  • PGD in Milling Technology & Quality Control will be an added advantage.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years cognate experience in similar role.

The Person Must:

  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Effective organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Be proficient with Microsoft office suite or related software.
