Sherman Gray Limited is an EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) company envisioned several years ago, but incorporated on January 4, 2007. The core objective of our organisation is to provide professional services in the field of Civil engineering construction, Consulting, Procurement and Outsourcing services for the oil and gas industry, manpower development through professional training and project management, to mention a few.

Title: Graduate Trainee Program (Engineering & Built Environment Disciplines)

Job Type: One-Year Graduate Trainee Program (Full-Time)

About the Role

  • We are seeking highly motivated and passionate fresh graduates who are eager to launch their careers in the engineering and built environment fields.
  • Our Graduate Trainee Program is a structured one-year learning and development initiative designed to equip young professionals with hands-on experience, technical knowledge, and industry exposure.
  • As a Graduate Trainee, you will undergo intensive training, mentorship, and practical project involvement to prepare you for a successful career path in your chosen discipline.

Eligible Disciplines
We are recruiting in each of the following areas:

  • Civil Engineering
  • Architecture
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Land Surveying
  • Quantity Surveying

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in on-the-job training, workshops, and mentoring sessions.
  • Assist senior engineers, architects, or surveyors in executing real projects.
  • Conduct research, data collection, and technical analysis as assigned.
  • Support project planning, design, implementation, and reporting.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn, adapt, and grow within the organization.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in any of the listed disciplines.
  • Not more than one (1) year post-NYSC completion.
  • Strong academic performance and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, etc. where applicable) will be an added advantage.
