Description
Co-ordination:

  • Works with other engineers and supervisors, shares experience and best practices, initiates and reviews documents and provides constructive feedback.
  • Leads risk assessments and HAZID/HAZOP prior to all Intervention related operations.
  • Is a key player in IWOPS and risk assessment sessions for intervention operations.
  • Leads the LEAN, 3C, cost rationalization and continuous improvement culture within the intervention team through-out the well delivery cycle
  • Ensures lessons learnt and best practices are communicated to service company and other stakeholders.
  • Follows well KPI and CPI database, and benchmarks operations against “best composite” performance.
  • Actively Participates in monthly performance meetings
  • Follows up and closes out any highlighted improvement actions.
  • Follows up financial and personnel utilization reporting by the offshore supervisors.
  • Manages the well cost follow up and contracts to ensure there is sufficient value in the contract for upcoming operations.
  • Spearheads the preparation, planning, optimization, and follow-up on onshore/offshore execution of Intervention aspects of well operations
  • Provides oversight and technical support during operations and ensures procedures are followed by offshore supervisors. Where applicable ensures MoC are written, and risk assessments are carried out and communicated to the offshore team in a timely manner.
  • Technical Administrator (TADM) for all Deepwater Asset Well Intervention Contracts (Coiled Tubing, Pumping and Stimulation, Slickline, E-Line, Well Tractor Services e.t.c)
  • Mentors Junior Engineers and Supervisors, shares experience and best practices, reviews documents and provides constructive feedback

Technical:

  • Has in-depth knowledge and experience in intervention tools, technologies, and techniques. Has good knowledge of all Drilling & Wells functions i.e. Drilling, Completions, Intervention, Well Integrity and Fluids
  • Prepares stimulation and intervention designs in line with SOR requirements. Performs and reviews studies relating to production restoration, enhancement, safeguarding and well integrity.
  • First line reviewer and verifier of well stimulation and intervention designs.
  • Prepares well programs in line with TotalEnergies Company Rules, General Specifications, & Guide Manuals), ensures intervention equipment is prepared, is fit for purpose and meets well timelines. Ensures risk assessments and HAZID/HAZOP are carried out prior to the completion operations.
  • Proposes new ideas and innovations to improve well performance, well operations performance, reduce risk and/or cost. Conduct studies to improve performance
  • Attend weekly WPG and planning meetings and other technical presentations. Suggest planning sequence priorities and ensure no delay for operation.
  • Leads small task forces, comprising engineers, superintendents, supervisors, and contractors to resolve engineering/technical issues.
  • Provide technical advice on Well Intervention expertise (sand control, Well Testing, Wireline, Coiled Tubing).
  • Ensure to have on site the adequate manning for the success of the operation.
  • Participate in the TotalEnergies sharing of professional experience through REX

Accountabilities

  • Ensure operations programs are prepared.
  • Ensure follow-up of operations & cost.
  • Ensure that studies to improve performance are conducted.
  • Prepare and conduct invitations to tender and service and equipment contracts.
  • Optimize activities of service providers and assess their performance.
  • Ensure the respect of safety rules and frames of references.
  • Track Well Interventions KPI for all assets.
  • Prepare and manage well servicing operations (wireline, coil tubing, stimulation, sand clean-out, rigless workover,etc) in full respect of commonly defined scope of work with GSR or PROD, with the objective of cost containment, andin full respect of Company Rules (HSE and Technical).
  • Diagnose & recommend appropriate well servicing activity required to maintain well performance and well security.
  • Plan and mobilise resources (personnel, equipment, contracts) for the execution of such agreed/approved well servicing operations in a timely and safe manner.
  • Prepare end of well intervention report capturing lessons to improve future work

HSE Objectives:

  • Familiarize self with Client’s emergency procedures, carry out assigned responsibilities safely and report any incident, unsafe act or operation.
  • Actively participates and ensures team participation in Company safety awareness/initiative schemes and audits to ensure the contractors are compliant.
  • Ensure all personnel under his/her supervision are well trained and aware of their HSE responsibilities with continuous monitoring.
  • Demonstrates personal commitment to TotalEnergies and statutory HSE policies, standards and codes of conduct and drives / ensures compliance of same within the team and contractors.
  • Is certified (IWC and CoC) and contributes to the prevention of biggest industrial risk (Loss of well control/ well blowout).

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng).
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant technical experience with onshore and offshore Well engineering roles.
  • Good experience in contracts management and basic finance.
  • Very Knowledgeable in drilling engineering/operations, completion engineering, well interventions engineering operations.
  • Very Good understanding on well integrity.
  • Good knowledge of material and equipment, stock management
  • Very Good Working experience in Well servicing/production optimisation activities (slickline/E-line, acidizing, WSO/conformance, remedial sand control, coil tubing operations, well performance).
