Job Title: Senior UPS & Solar Engineer

Location: Oregun, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reporting To: National Service Head
Hours: 40 hours weekly

Job Summary

• We are looking for a Senior UPS and Solar Engineer to lead the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of UPS and solar systems.
• The role involves providing technical support to customers, ensuring project timelines are met, and mentoring junior technicians.
• The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, a customer-focused attitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service solutions.

Responsibilities
Installation and commissioning:

• Lead the installation and commissioning process of all kinds UPS/Solar systems at various customer sites
• Collaborate with project managers and customers to ensure project specifications and timelines met.
• Conduct pre-installation assessments and site surveys to determine requirements and constraints.

Maintenance and troubleshooting:

• Perform routine preventive maintenance, identifying potential issues before they impact system performance.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment efficiently.
• Respond to emergency service calls and provide timely resolutions to minimize downtime.

Technical support & Customer interaction:

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for client’s post-installation, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Offer solutions-oriented insights to improve customer experience and satisfaction.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Develop and submit detailed service reports
• Assist in creating technical documentation for customers.

Team leadership:

• Supervise and mentor junior service engineers and technicians.
• Conduct training sessions to enhance the skill set of the service team on the latest UPS and Solar technologies.

Qualifications
Educational:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical engineering, Power systems, Renewable Energy technologies.

Experience:

• 8 – 10 years of experience in servicing UPS and maintenance protocols.
• Familiarity with solar PV Systems including inverters, batteries etc.

Skills Requirements:

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and customer handling skills.
• Capacity to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
