Job Title: Senior Project Management Officer

Location: Lagos Mainland, Lagos

Role Purpose

• To support the effective planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting of strategic and operational projects across the Group.
• The role ensures adherence to established project governance standards, agile project management practices, timely delivery of initiatives, and accurate reporting to the Head of SPMG and the GCEO.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution:

• Support planning and execution of strategic projects to ensure delivery within scope, budget, and timelines.
• Assist in developing project charters, workplans, schedules, and documentation.
• Coordinate project resources and maintain activity schedules.

Project Monitoring & Reporting:

• Track project progress, milestones, and deliverables.
• Prepare periodic project status reports for SPMG and the GCEO.
• Maintain project registers, dashboards, and documentation.

Project Governance & Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with PMO governance standards, reporting frameworks, and documentation processes.
• Monitor project risks, issues, and dependencies and support mitigation actions.
• Maintain project risk and issue logs.

Portfolio Management Support:

• Support the maintenance of the Group’s project portfolio.
• Provide analysis to support project prioritisation and decision-making.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of project data across the portfolio.

Strategy Alignment & Decision Support:

• Ensure projects align with strategic objectives and corporate priorities.
• Prepare presentations, summaries, and reports to support executive decision-making.

Process Improvement:

• Support continuous improvement of the SPMG project management framework.
• Contribute to the development of templates, tools, and governance procedures.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5–7 years’ experience in project management, consulting, or process improvement roles.
• Experience supporting cross-functional projects in financial services is an advantage.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or CAPM certification is an added advantage.

Salary
N1,000,000 – N1,500,000 / Month.
