Ekiti State College of Technology, Ijero-Ekiti (formerly College of Health Sciences and Technology) was recently upgraded to a Polytechnic following the signing into law of the upgrade bill by the Governor of Ekiti State and Visitor to the Polytechnic, His Excellency, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, on 23rd December, 2025.

Job Title: Senior Physical Planning Officer

Location: Ijero-Ekiti, Ekiti

Job Description

• The Senior Physical Planning Officer is required to oversee physical development plans, and land 4, use compliance.
• He will also prepare technical reports on physical projects, including buildings.
• The SPPO liaises with government agencies and stakeholders on regnlatory matters on behalf of the Polytechnic.

Qualifications

• The candidate should have a good Bachelor Degree in any of the following disciplines: Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture and Building Technology.
• A Master Degree will be an advantage.
• Candidate must be a members of a professional body such as Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), Council for the Registration of Engineers in Nigeria (COREN), the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors or the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors, the Architectural Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON), the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA).
• Master’s Degree or Above in Architecture or be a Corporate Membership of Nigeria Institute of Builders or like professional bodies.
• The candidate must have at least six year post qualification experience, preferably in a tertiary institution.
