Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Summary

• A Senior Mechanical Engineerleads complex design, development, and testing of mechanical systems from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with standards, budget, and timelines.
• They utilizeCADandFEM toolsto analyze, improve, and troubleshoot products while mentoring junior engineers, managing stakeholders, and providing technical expertise to optimize manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership:

• Lead mechanical design projects, including 3D modeling, simulation, and 2D documentation (e.g., CATIA V5, NX).

Project Management:

• Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality and regulatory standards.

Analysis & Testing:

• Perform FEA, CFD, or tolerance analysis and oversee prototype testing to validate designs.
• Collaboration & Mentoring:Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Troubleshooting:Identify and resolve design or production issues in the field.

Qualifications
Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Experience:

• 5-10+ years in design, manufacturing, or product development.

Skills:

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Catia, NX), GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and FEA tools.

Leadership:

• Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Typical Requirements:

• Experience with manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, molding).
• Knowledge of industry-specific standards.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
