Description

• We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Freight Officer.
• In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of freight transportation for DCP.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics and experience in managing freight operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee freight transportation activities, including negotiating rates with carriers and ensuring on-time delivery.
• Monitor and track shipments to ensure they reach their destination in a timely manner.
• Analyze transportation costs, routes, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and maintain relationships with freight carriers, customs officials, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to freight transportation.
• Manage and resolve any issues or disruptions that may occur during the transportation process.
• Collaborate with other departments within the organization to optimize logistics processes and maximize efficiency.
• Prepare and present reports on freight transportation activities and performance to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 – 9 years of experience in freight transportation or logistics management.

Skills and Competencies:

• Excellent knowledge of freight transportation regulations and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize work.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in using transportation management software.
