About the Job

  • You provide high-level, secure, and professional driving services to the Head of Office (HoE).
  • This role goes beyond basic transportation duties and requires strong coordination with internal and external stakeholders, knowledge of diplomatic and UN protocols, proficiency in digital tracking systems, and a client-service-oriented approach.
  • In addition to driving responsibilities, you provide basic administrative and logistical support and contribute to the professional development of other drivers.
  • You demonstrate a client-oriented mindset, a strong sense of responsibility, courtesy, discretion, and tact, as well as the ability to work effectively with people from diverse national and cultural backgrounds.

  • Reliable and Safe Driving Services
  • Effective Coordination and Protocol Engagement
  • Vehicle Maintenance, Readiness and Incident Response
  • Use of Digital Systems and Devices
  • Administrative and Logistical Support
  • Guidance to Junior Drivers

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Secondary education is required, along with a valid driver’s license and knowledge of local driving rules and regulations.
  • Work Experience: Minimum three years of relevant work experience as a driver in an international organization, embassy, or UN system with a safe driving record is required.
  • Skills: Knowledge of Protocol Compliance, Safe driving, Vehicle Tracking Systems, and Vehicle maintenance is required.
  • Language Requirements: Proficiency in English is required.

Desirables:

  • Language: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
  • Experience with VIP protocol, airport meeting protocol, emergency response and first-aid certification is an asset.
  • Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts is an asset.
