Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer / Project Manager

Job Summary

• Are you an experienced Civil Engineer / Project Manager who knows how to take a construction project from plans to reality?
• Do you thrive on the site, understand what it takes to keep construction moving, and have the confidence to lead teams, manage contractors, solve technical problems and deliver projects to the required quality, cost and timeline?
• We are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer / Project Manager to take ownership of our active residential construction projects in Lagos.
• This is not a role for someone who simply supervises from a distance. We need a hands-on construction professional who can take responsibility for what happens on site and ensure the project keeps moving.

What You’ll be Responsible for 

• Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day execution and coordination of assigned projects
• Plan, coordinate and monitor construction activities from start to completion
• Lead and supervise Site Engineers, supervisors, artisans, subcontractors and other site personnel
• Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards
• Monitor project progress against agreed timelines and identify potential delays early
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and management
• Review drawings and identify technical issues or clashes before they become costly problems
• Monitor construction methods, workmanship and material usage
• Manage site resources, manpower, equipment and materials effectively
• Monitor project costs and minimise unnecessary wastage and rework
• Review subcontractor works, progress and performance
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress assessments
• Prepare and submit regular project progress reports to management
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements
• Resolve day-to-day technical and operational challenges on site
• Ensure proper documentation and records are maintained throughout the project
• Drive projects toward timely, quality and cost-effective completion

Who We’re Looking For 

We want a strong construction leader, not just someone with a Civil Engineering degree.
You should be:

• A qualified Civil Engineer with relevant professional experience
• Experienced in managing building/residential construction projects
• Comfortable taking ownership of an active construction site
• Strong in project planning, coordination and execution
• Able to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
• Experienced in supervising contractors and site teams
• Strong in construction methods, sequencing and quality control
• Commercially aware and conscious of project costs and wastage
• A strong communicator and confident decision-maker
• Able to identify problems early and find practical solutions
• Organised, disciplined and able to work under pressure

Added advantage:

• Experience delivering highrise/multi-storey residential developments
• Professional certifications or membership with relevant engineering bodies
• A proven record of delivering projects successfully from start to completion in Lekki, Ikoyi, Banana Island.
