Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Summary

• We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to lead our financial operations and strategy in Abuja.
• This role is pivotal in driving financial performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting executive decision-making through insightful analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the company’s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to optimize financial health
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, IFRS, and other relevant financial regulations
• Lead internal control initiatives and risk management strategies
• Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies
• Supervise and mentor finance and accounting staff, fostering a high-performance culture
• Provide strategic financial insights to senior management for business growth and investment decisions.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MSc is a strong advantage.
• Professional Certification: Chartered Accountant (ICAN) required; ACCA or other relevant certifications are a plus;
• Minimum of 7 years progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Skills:

• Deep understanding of IFRS, GAAP, and Nigerian tax regulations
• Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)
• Advanced Excel skills and financial modelling expertise
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
