Job Title: Security Officer

Job Summary

• We are seeking a responsible, alert and reliable Security Officer to join our team and provide effective security and access control at our property in Old GRA, Port Harcourt.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for protecting the property, monitoring movement in and out of the premises, maintaining a safe environment for guests and staff, and promptly reporting any suspicious activity or security concerns.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong security presence around the property at all times.
• Monitor and control access to the premises.
• Verify visitors, guests, staff and other individuals entering or leaving the property where necessary.
• Keep accurate records of visitors, incidents and relevant activities.
• Monitor the premises for suspicious behaviour, unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Conduct regular checks of the property and surrounding areas.
• Ensure doors, gates and other access points are properly secured when required.
• Protect company property, equipment, facilities and guest belongings from theft, damage or unauthorized access.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to security incidents or emergencies.
• Report suspicious activities, security breaches, damages or incidents immediately to the supervisor/management.
• Maintain proper communication with management and other staff regarding security matters.
• Assist in enforcing property rules and regulations.
• Monitor activities around the premises and remain attentive throughout working hours.
• Ensure that the security post and surrounding area are kept orderly and professional.
• Follow all security procedures and instructions provided by management.
• Perform other reasonable security-related duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Security Officer, Security Guard, Hotel Security or similar role is an advantage.
• Must be physically fit, alert and observant.
• Must be responsible, disciplined and trustworthy.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Must be able to remain attentive and focused during working hours.
• Must be punctual and dependable.
• Must be able to respond appropriately during emergencies.
• Must be comfortable interacting respectfully with guests, staff and visitors.
• Must be able to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
• Must maintain a professional appearance and attitude while on duty.
• Must be willing to work according to the assigned duty schedule.
• Must be available to resume immediately.

Salary
N80,000 / month.
