We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Security Associate

Location: Warri, Delta
Employment Type: Full-time

Summary

  • The Security Associate is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of staff, patients, visitors, and property within the facility.
  • This role involves monitoring security systems, enforcing access control protocols, responding to incidents, and conducting routine patrols to prevent breaches.
  • The job holder will support the implementation of site-level security procedures, maintain security equipment, and assist with investigations and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of site-level security protocols and procedures in line with organizational policies.
  • Respond to security incidents and emergencies, escalating issues where necessary.
  • Conduct regular patrols, inspections, and surveillance to detect and prevent security breaches.
  • Assist in the coordination of visitor and contractor access in accordance with approved guidelines.
  • Monitor access control systems, CCTV, and other security infrastructure to ensure full operational functionality.
  • Participate in routine risk assessments and contribute to site-specific safety recommendations.
  • Prepare incident reports and maintain accurate records of daily security activities.
  • Support the Security Lead in liaising with law enforcement or external agencies when required.
  • Provide security guidance to staff and contribute to awareness efforts within the facility.
  • Ensure all security equipment is properly maintained and report malfunctions promptly.

Requirements

  • Background in military, paramilitary, or professional security services is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 4 – 7 years of relevant experience in corporate or institutional security roles.
  • Good knowledge of access control, surveillance systems, and security protocols.
  • Strong attention to detail, discipline, and a proactive approach to risk management.
  • Membership with ISPON or another recognized security institute is an added advantage.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
