Job Title: Science Laboratory Technician (SLT)

Location: Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti

Job Summary

• The Science Laboratory Technician will provide essential technical support for laboratory operations, assisting in the preparation, testing, and maintenance of scientific experiments and materials.
• The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, organized, and able to maintain laboratory safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, organize, and maintain laboratory equipment and materials.
• Assist in conducting experiments, tests, and sample analyses under supervision.
• Record, compile, and interpret scientific data accurately.
• Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and quality control standards.
• Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and request replacements as needed.
• Support students and researchers with laboratory procedures and demonstrations (if in an academic setting).
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and report malfunctions promptly.

Qualifications

• National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Science Laboratory Technology or a related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in a laboratory environment (academic or industrial).
• Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment, techniques, and safety procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Word, Excel, and email).

Salary
N70,000 Monthly
