Job Title: School Accountant 

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant to manage the school’s financial records, transactions and reporting requirements.
• The successful candidate will support sound financial management and ensure accurate and timely financial documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
• Record and reconcile daily financial transactions.
• Prepare payment vouchers, receipts and other financial documents.
• Monitor income, expenditure and cash flow.
• Prepare periodic financial reports for management.
• Reconcile bank statements and school accounts.
• Monitor school fees and other receivables.
• Support budgeting and financial planning.
• Maintain proper documentation for audit purposes.
• Ensure financial transactions comply with approved procedures.
• Liaise with management and relevant stakeholders on financial matters.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Relevant professional accounting qualification or membership is an advantage.
• Minimum of 2–3 years’ relevant accounting experience.
• Previous experience in a school or similar organisation is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
