We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Scaffolding Foreman – Oil & Gas Construction Projects

Location: Port Harcourt / Offshore, Rivers / Warri, Delta
Employment Type: Contract

Responsibilities

• Scaffolding Management: Supervise the erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding structures, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Lifting and Rigging: Oversee lifting and rigging operations, ensuring all equipment is certified and used correctly.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all scaffolding and lifting activities adhere to HES (Health, Environment, and Safety) standards and Company procedures.
• Team Leadership: Lead and manage scaffolding and rigging crews, providing guidance and training as needed.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of scaffolding and lifting activities, including inspection reports and certification documents.
• Coordination: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other foremen to ensure seamless project execution.
• Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues related to scaffolding, lifting, and rigging promptly.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: OND or equivalent in a technical subject.
• Certification: Scaffolding, lifting, and rigging certifications (e.g., CISRS, OPITO).
• Experience: Minimum of 15 yearsof experience as a scaffolding and lifting / rigging foreman in offshore environments.
• Certifications: OPITO Basic Offshore Survival Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET). Additional certifications in scaffolding inspection or rigging are an advantage.

Skills:

• Proficiency in scaffolding, lifting, and rigging techniques.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.

• Technical Expertise: In-depth understanding of scaffolding, lifting, and rigging processes.
